its time we act aginst terrorism with iron hand

today i saw "a wednesday". its a very good film. the theme of the story is common man's revenge aginst the terrorists who blew up the train in mumbai....
the story released b4 the latest mumbai massacre which took 200 lives .
the story has a very good moral that terrorism should be tackled with brute force, not soft hands....
everyone knows that pakistan is giving supplies and support to terrorists thru ISI.... india shouls not be soft this time, we must attack those terrorist bases workin in POK.
otherwise , there will be many more mumbai massacres.....

first job @ unilever

well at last i got a job.... i had send my resume directly 2 the company & i had 2 rounds of interview b4 they gav me the seection order,,, stipent of 8k durin 6 months training & there after 14-15k.... i joined on 10th this month.
about the company, its a bread manufacturinng unit, Modern bread, part of hindustan unilever.... my post is of a safety engineer(looking afer the safety aspects of the company) ... i enjoy this job the least...
the sad thing is that my job has nothing to do with mechanical engineering.... i thing even a +2 passout can do this job...
anyway something is far better than nothing atall...
so here's my plan... i'l stay here till i get a better job....
mind u, production & maintenance feild really sucks... after the first 2 days in the company, i've decided that i'd rather go 2 design feild...
in prod & maintenance u just dnt use ur head... its just plain paper work... its in design that u can use ur head & even use something that u hav studied for 4 yrs,...

the consultancy which i had registered myself is not a good one by any means... i think all the consultancies will be same... they can get u a BPO or IT job, but i dnt think any constancy can help u with core companies...
so here's what i did,
one
i went to peenya industrial area in Bangalore.... its a mechanical engineers paradise by any means...
my plan was to give my CV directly to companies...
first time i went there, it was raining hard... so i couldn't give CV to many companies....
next time i went with my friend nikhil. we covered around 15 companies in the span of 3 hrs... walking beneath the hot sun made us exhausted... but we atleast applied to those companies.
next, we went to dobaspet indutrial area... this place was undscoveres by the bangalore job hunters... so we had a better chance. we went & gave CV to some companies. one company even took our written test. .
two
there were a lot of reputed companies in bangalore which i culdn't cover.so what i did is that, i collected the adress of these companies from net and posted my CV along with a cover letter(i cost me 5/ per post+ printing charge of CV = 7 / approx)
i think i've posted around 25 letters... and around 5 of them responded.... that included Tyco, hindustan unilever, mysore electricals.

so i think that consultants are a waste f money, just go out & u can find lots of jobs for yourself....

PHOTOS
1 & 2. my frst day in peenya industrial area, rain ruined the day...

how to crack VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) exams, if u r a five point sm1.....

yesterday the second year results came.... many of my friends and juniors lost another year....

i asked them how they write the exams etc... from what they told me , i knew that they don't know the basic techniques to crack VTU exams....

here are some facts about how the examiners examine answer books.... they have 2 xamine some 200 papers a day. lets hope they do it for about 5 hours a day... that means per answer book gets only about 2 mins..... 2 mins!!!!

yup, thats the time they take 2 correct an answer book of 40 pages.....!!

so, lets think from their point of view..... wht would u have done if you had a book in your hand and only 2 mins 2 correct it......????

obviously, you will just skip thru the pages and if the student has good handwriting , filled a lot of pages, and attended 5 full questions, you will definitely give him 35 marks..... of course, u won't try 2 read all the pages, u just guess that the student has written all correct...., right?

here are some tips 2 help u crack vtu exams....

  1. you should have gone through at least 80-100 marks of the subject (means, u must have a basic concept about 100 marks, that's all), so that u can attend all the 5 questions( 100 marks) & write something that's related to the subject....

  2. you must attend all 5 full questions,no matter what you know or what u don't know.... ( more questions you attend, the examiner is forced to think " this sucker seems to know something, i'l hmmmm make hip pass, poor chap " :)

  3. you must & must fill at least 25 pages of the book with this 5 full questions.... its all about the pages, buddy... this is VTU...!! THE MORE THE PAGES, THE MORE CHANCES U WILL PASS...!!!

  4. be in good relation with the lecturers and particularly, the HOD.... its important that u must have 15 marks internal... cos, examiners will sometimes make u pass (even if u didn't write anything, based on the pages ) and will give u 35 (minimum pass mark), reckoning that u have 15 marks internal.... got it? so its ur social contacts & the way u behave with the lecturers that will fetch you this free 15 marks....

so, that's it.... follow these steps, and i can guarantee you a pass....

all the best, do well

job hunt is tiring...

i stay in tumkur... some 70 kms away from bangalore...
so a trip will take 3 hrs in bus( ticket- 42 rs) & by local train it takes 2 hrs (12 rs)... so i'd rather prefer going by train.... but train arrives @ 7.15, the station is 4 kms away from where i live... so if i'm 2 go 2 banglore, i've 2 wake up early(by 6 am), get ready and reach the station by 7, stand in queue for buying tickets....its not so easy 4 me(i usually get up at8am)
i did this for 3 days in a row from tuesday....
day 1. i found a consultency & registered myself for 500 rs. they told 2 come next day...
day 2. i went, but interview was on next day.
day 3. i went 2 majestic, boarded a volvo 2 the whitefeild, which was 28 kms away from central... and the volvo ticket cost me 55/-... and when i reached the company, i was told thet they are not taking freshers... just imagine how fished up i'l be.... i'm quite exhausted......

i love Tumkur

tumkur, this is the place i've spend my last 4 years.... and i love this place,it just feels like home....
its quite different from my village in kerala....
,in tumkur ppl are always busy in their work...
ppl here are very friendly too...
thats why i'm back 2 tumkur..... i feel myself here...
how can i forget the place that i lived for the past 4 yrs...
the streets of SIT, the strong tea of Narayan tea shop, busy back gate, the ice cold mornings, the cool afternoons & the beautiful evenings....
you won't feel bored in here... when i came here 4 years ago, i hated this place, it took a couple of years 4 me to look into the cool side of tumkur.... the food here, though, is not so tasty....

morbid mentality of kerala politicians

Hmmm... I was simply wasting time today... I'm becoming okay now. I'm thinking of doing lots of things tomorrow like posting some applications and things like that. Leave it...

i read some stories in ' chicken soup for the college soul' mind you,its very good... Very inspiring stories... There were stories about receiving the degree in a convocation,i wish i could do like that.... And i wish my mom will be there to see it... It will be nice...
I saw "santosh subramaniam" the movie today, its a very good movie ,i think the best after boys... A very good story and acting is good... I'm a jayam ravi fan now... Tamil film industry is growing very fast, but malayalam is still like old times... I think that films represent the mindset of the majority of people in a particular region, like kerala and TN... So that makes tamilians very modern and ambitious... And mallus morbid and pessimist... I really don't like the mentality of politicians in kerala, they are killing the future of kerala, they are not at all allowing any foreign industries to step in kerala... I just can't believe that TN got BMW factory, which was to come in kerala... God help these people... This is the main reason why i don't want to look for job in kerala... Grow up people.,before its too late...

election loss for VP = cash loss for students

a very very unlucky rafeeq ahmed lost the election by a mere 2k something votes.... poor guy,my condolences 2 him.... its estimated that vp invested around 2 crore for the campaign.... he lost it all...

but that's not what we are concerned about.... vp is trying 2 get back the cash he lost in election by imposing heavy fines on students of hmsit in the name of absence. he has fined every student irrespective of their semester ...some students have got fine up to 10k... great going sir... you have yet again proved that you are the greatest shithead of tumkur city...(i think, the 2k something voters knew this before, that's why they dumped him.... lol)

why VTU ruins students life.....

hi...
i'm wating for my 8th sem xams.... it was supposed 2 begin on this 31st,but they changed it due 2 election... the revised date was on 7th june....
i was a little relieved, cos i can study something in that one week ... but after a week, they again changed the xam to 14th....
now whats this...?
and today when i looked into univers site, there is no time table at all.... what a nice university...
do they know that what goes in a stud's mind when he doesn't even know the dates of xam that he's gonna write next month..?
another thing-
in other universities, they allow for writing the exam again just after the completion of xams,so that students can pass the failed subjects or even improve the marks if they want.(i would never think of improving, can't imagine sitting in that exam hall for full 180 mins).
but,in VTU,its not possible... if u fail a subject,u can't write if for the next 6 months(till next sem exams)... this is a double whammy fot students who lose more than 4 subjects in even sem, cos, according to VTU rules(most horrible rules in the whole universe),one wont be allowed 2 pass to next year(say,1st to 2nd yr),if he has more than 4 failed papers....just imagine a student who couldn't write his xams because he was ill.... i've seen lots of students lose their one year(future) just because they had 5 back papers....
i'd say vtu is one of the toughest universities to pass out from...
but...if u can pass out frm this university within 4 years,i'd say u r nothing short of a genius....(here the word genius applies 2 studs who are trying hard 2 reach that 60% , )

jeffry archer: KANE & ABEL...

hi..
i read kane & abel ... mind u,this is one of the best novels i've read.... jeffry archer has done an awesome work... you can't keep the book down till u complete it....
The book tells the stories of two men born worlds apart. They have nothing in common except the same date of birth (April 18, 1906) and a zeal to succeed in life. William Lowell Kane is a wealthy and powerful Boston Brahmin while Abel Rosnovski (originally named Wladek Koskiewicz) is a Pole born into desperate poverty who eventually emigrates to the United States.
the rest of the story is awesome as they grow up & time makes them enemies.....

i recommend u read it

aamir is no gentleman afterall....

i recently read aamir's blog... i was shocked & surprised 2 see what he had written...
here's a piece from his latest blog
"Shahrukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for?

Now, before you jump to any conclusions let me add that Shahrukh is the name of our dog. And before you jump to any further conclusions let me add that I had nothing to do with naming him. In fact Shahrukh is the dog of the caretakers of our house. When I bought this house it came with the caretakers and their dog! Apparently Shahrukh (the actor) was shooting for a commercial in this house a few years ago, and that very day the caretakers bought a pup…, and named him Shahrukh. What are the chances of me buying a house which comes with a dog called Shahrukh!!!

Some of my friends claim that I bought the house just because of the dog. I would have to be a serious fan of Shahrukh’s to want to do that. Your guess…

All I can say is I’m waiting for him to come over, .

Well Shahrukh is once again begging for my attention, so let me get back to him. He is smelling too much, I think he needs a bath. “Heel boy, heel.”
-aamir

can u belive this...? a well respected, reputed, established aamir is publicly trying 2
make fun of SRK....!!!!
I never thought that aamir had any ego probs like most of the actors....
i was a fan of this guy,now i'm not...
and SRK was cool abt it and tod that he didn't have any prob wid sharing his name wid aamir's dog... thats professionalism...aamir,learn something frm SRK... & please dont make any more publicity stunds ike this again.... and make ur remianing fans(i'm sure their numbers have come down after his blog) feel ashamed that they are ur fans....

after this i decided that,i wont be satisfied wid a just pass in each sem.....i gotta get FCD.... will i?

8th sem

6.Wipro BPO
hmmm....t\swear,this was the last company on earth i wanted to join.... well we had this phone interview wid a lady(who was very good 2 me),i had 2 read some 3 paragraphs, then she asked some q's...thats all... i was selected 4 the final round...
final round eas just formality, they asked some q's and gave me the offer letter.... coll... at last, nish's placed.... i've still not decided if i'l go or not....

7.Mann-Hummel-Bosch Filters

two of the most reputed companies in mechanical/auto field....i heard that they are giving good salary during training and even u may get a chance 2 visit Germany...!!
i committed in my mind that i'l try my level best 2 get selected....

day 1 of interview... only aptitude & technical test.... around 25 were present for the test... aptitude was a bit testing... i was sure i'l get above 90% in that... next came mechanical test... my God,it was full of manufacturing process, its a subject that i don't like much...but, i did it somehow... i had some hope in mind that i'l clear this round , cos i did the apti well...

call came after two days that i was selected for final interview.....!!!

i'l come back with that most wonderful interview i had ever attended... cos i knew after the interview i'd be selected... :)

a letter to the vice principal of HMSIT

respected sir,
i'm a student of our collage since 2004,and i think u recognize me as well. i' was thinking of writing this letter 4 a long time.congrats for being selected as the congress candidate for tumkur...now u won't be available for a long time,right?... take this as the letter of hundreds of students of this collage who are suffering because of ur appetite for money and more money.... when i came here in 2004,the coll had 2 buildings, mess, and hostel. 4 years have passed, what is the change? only one library block ?(thanks 4 that anyway)... how much students have come 2 this collage since 04? you would have got hundreds of crores as profit till now...(i know this because one agent[we call him the black shit] alone got around 2 crores as commission from coll)...what are u doing with all this money, saving for ur life in heaven?(err, hell?)
at least can't u build a road and most important thing, can't u make a gate in front of the coll?
leave all that, the most important thing is the student should get the encouragement and environment 2 study.... i think u don't take into account that B.E is a professional course... and without the support of management students will suffer...
what kind of waste lecturers are u recruiting for teaching us? do u think we are some piece of shit(like u),who will be satisfied with anything? do u have any idea that 95% of our lecturers(all branches) are just bull-shit who doesn't know how 2 even spell the word" English"?
thank God that we are capable of studying ourselves..... but think of others who are helpless, who are dependent only on lecturers.... who are taking 6-8 years in completing B.E... their curse will follow u,4ever...
we are mechanical studs, and we have not seen any industry till now in our life... i was really embarrassed when in am interview, the interviewer asked,"how many industries have u visited so far"? i had 2 tell with a frowned face that ours is a developing coll, and though we didn't get any chance 2 visit industries, hopefully, our juniors will....
do u have any idea what sridevi coll,(which was established much later than ours) is doing 4 their students? they take students regularly 2 ind visits, the provide projects for students in leading industries.... what the hell r u doing...?
u know what is the most shitting thing that u r doing? i'l tell...what all things have u written in our website....? we have this ,we have that... don't u feel shy? u r showing our little mess and written that it is a cafeteria.... cool!!!
and the most fu@#^*g thing- why have u shown the pic of Yokohama stadium and written that it is" HMSIT International Stadium"...? shame on u sir....
making money is ok,but once in a while, think of the students who come here with lots of dreams, who thinks that one day they will become an ENGINEER,who take bank loans because of lack of money.... one day u have 2 give answer 4 their tears in front of GOD... Till then, enjoy sir... wish u best of luck 4 the elections....

YOURS FAITHFULLY,
A STUDENT OF HMSIT.

About friendship...

Lincoln has once said"have many friends, but be confident wit a few"
in this world its very difficult 2 find true friends....by true friends i mean, those who will be with u in Ur gravest time, they will be ready 2 help u even if u go @3 am. they won't leave u in front of enemies...
there are some type, who will just stand by even if someone is fighting u,who will flash the secrets which u told them cos u thot u could bliv them... these are the ones who will back stab u when they get a chance....

i'm fortunate enough 2 have both type of friends....

first of all i'd like 2 thank my good friends who have been with me in my good & bad times.....thanks guys, without u i'd never have known what friendship is.....
this is the list of my best friends whom i believe wit my life..
1.seena
2.bibi
3.arun
4.fazil
5.anas
6.shiraz
7.midhilaj

this is the second list, whom are good friends wit me,bt i don't know them well enough, either way,u are as good
1.sreeyesh
2.ahmer
3.hari
4.nikhil philip
5.rejath

this is 2 small a list,isn't it.....but i think i'm rich enough in friendship...

3 THINGS I'D LIKE 2 CHANGE ABT INDIA

recently,i was thinking about our big India, and about the contribution that young ppl can do 2wadrds the development of the country.... if i'm given power 4 a day , what i'l do ? i'd do 3 main things....

1.delete all corrupt officials from the system
our country is one of the most corrupt countries in the world....even after this much corruption, our country achieved 9% growth for the last 3 years... just think,if we could stop all this corruption, our india will bcm a super power witinin the next 20 years....

2.abolish reservation based on caste
you know what is the most disgusting thing about india? its the fu$%#ng caste system and the reservation based on it....i do strongly belive that reservation should be solely based on economic basis. where on the world can you find ppl fighting for becomng under caste???? this system is the curse of india.

3.indian hockey
just see the pathetic scene of our national game, first time in history, india is out of olympics....!!!!
reason?
the ruling of some sardar,he's eating all the money and doing nothing for the upliftment of the game...
hockey players are payed only 1/10 the salary of cricket players...will youngsters come forward for playing such a downtrodden game which doesn't have any future? never
government should come forward and do something about this, after all ,its our national game....

public presentation...?? no sweat...!!

wow... i did a seminar on automated highways last week....
mind u,it was the best seminar of the day....as the presentation concluded, there was clap and whisle all around... after the uttr failure of my last presentation,i never thot i could do this much better....
the lessons i learned...
1. be thourough in the subject,it will reflect when u present it.
2.interact wid the audience.
3. be cool, don't giv a damn about others think of u....

now i'm realizing my potential,i can do much better than this...,i'l do it.
yhere is no turning back...

crossroads of life....

there is a point in everyone's life, where he will be standing in a junction, and he has 2 choose between those roads..... this one decision will decide his future..... i'm in that junc.
8th sem is just about 2 b over, and i'm not placed in any companies,(its my fault as i was not at all serious in my studies....)
well the damage is already been done,i've got to recover, get a very good % in my 8th sem,and i've 2 search 4 my job. a job means a mechanical job. a good company will give a head start 2 my career.......but,am i good enough? i think so....
i've decided that eventhough i've 2 suffer for one or two years with low salary,i'm going for it...

God bless me.....
