the consultancy which i had registered myself is not a good one by any means... i think all the consultancies will be same... they can get u a BPO or IT job, but i dnt think any constancy can help u with core companies...
so here's what i did,
one
i went to peenya industrial area in Bangalore.... its a mechanical engineers paradise by any means...
my plan was to give my CV directly to companies...
first time i went there, it was raining hard... so i couldn't give CV to many companies....
next time i went with my friend nikhil. we covered around 15 companies in the span of 3 hrs... walking beneath the hot sun made us exhausted... but we atleast applied to those companies.
next, we went to dobaspet indutrial area... this place was undscoveres by the bangalore job hunters... so we had a better chance. we went & gave CV to some companies. one company even took our written test. .
two
there were a lot of reputed companies in bangalore which i culdn't cover.so what i did is that, i collected the adress of these companies from net and posted my CV along with a cover letter(i cost me 5/ per post+ printing charge of CV = 7 / approx)
i think i've posted around 25 letters... and around 5 of them responded.... that included Tyco, hindustan unilever, mysore electricals.

so i think that consultants are a waste f money, just go out & u can find lots of jobs for yourself....
