we've been learning Kung-fu for the past 3 months, and, mind u, kunf fus is far better and lethal than karate.... ( I've learned karate 8 yrs ago, for a few months)...

Yamaha FZ, a liability

Its more than 2 yrs since I bought my yamaha Fz16 bike...

Gotta tell you, for the first year or so, she was a beauty....

But after that, its got lot of maintenance problems... and the engine performance is too bad... yes, u can blame the riding style, but still.... I've seen pulsars and apaches with lesser cost and them giving far better milage than my fuel guzzling girl.... (she gives only 30kmpl....!!!) ...

WTF....!

And the consoles of FZ are too bad, compared to pulsar...

Final verdict on FZ- Do not buy... The girl's got only looks.... nothing else.... Go for apache/pulsar..

just happened to see my friend anoop's profile in orkut... Its his b'dY tomorrow and so thought of leaving a scrap...

checked hi photo albums... he has actually segregated his albums in such a manner that each album corresponds a period or phase of his life... like he has one for his friends, one for his HMT days and another for his L&T days in MP etc...

As i went through the HMT album, I became nostalgic, like its almost 5 months since I left HMT and joined CET for MBA.... I really cherish the days I spend there... it did help me grow as an engineer and as a person... We did have so much fun there, and I learned a lot about mechanical engg. Made a lot of friends ... It really helped me to learn how to behave in a company....

Actually, as my course ended by july 2010, I had made up my mind to do MBA... Cos its from HMT that I realized that getting a Masters in management is essential for career growth...

Ok, think i drifted from the point, so from anoop's album, I got this idea of segregating each album according to the period when it happened... so we can see how we changed... and seeing those photos is really a worthwhile experience....

Why did i do MBA?

Me being a Mechanical Engineer, never wanted to do MBA.... Why?

Cos I feared that whatever I've learned in my Engineering would be just waste.....

And we Mechies have a special bond and passion to our field....

Ok, first of all, I am very passionate about Mechanical Engineering.... and I really want to work in some Automobile firm in the future.....

Yeah, so the main reason for me doin MBA is just this- I Found that MBA is essential for career growth....

How?

Well , working in HMT taught me a lot of things ... One was that " If u want to be on the Top, u need a management degree...."

And Technical doesn't help much to climb the ladder to the top....

In HMT I've seen many Genius's .... Best, Rank Holders.... But they never go beyond a point in their career.... Like, say, if one is good in design, and has a B.tech degree, the most he's gonna be in his career is " The Chief Of Design"

On the other hand, even if one is a B.com guy, with a management degree, he might as well become the GM...

I hope u got the point...

Now that I've joined for MBA in one of the most prestigious Institutions in Kerala, I'm gonna make the most out of it.... n am gonna be a Gr8 manager in two years....! :)

Champions League

Ok, now i'm watching Inter-Bayern Final of the Champions League.... Inter lead 1 goal after half time....
I am seeing champions league final like after 5 years or so...
I think i didn't get chance to see football after leaving home for doing my engineering...
Before that, me and my bro used to watch almost every match of EPL, n champions league...
we used to play football everyday...

now life is different... I Don't find time at all....
I still remember joining HMT for my apprenticeship, and today, I've less than 2 45 days to complete my training.... Time moves sooooo fast....

Is this Real Communism?

Yesterday again a hartal for nothing. .. . By the ever stupid and ruling party. . . The reason, rising prices. . . A simple question, will the prices come down if these guys do hartal?? Ok, i can understand, lame people, lame concepts, lame and stupid ways of doing things. . . . These wackhos thought that it will bring down prices. . . . But my question is different, why are these people forcing others to join, when others don't want to??? I didn't join, i went for work. . . No one stopped me. . But these pimps were deliberately forcing others to go back home, when they wanted to work. . . Is this right way of doing things, Mr. Achumaman? I can understand you are a school dropout and illiterate sick *&^%$%. . . But you being a CM, are you not obliged to follow the five directives issued by the high court? You know what, You are the only reason why Our state is not developing. . . . My advice to all people, get out on hartals, kill the %$%%# who stop you. . Do it two times, they won't dare again to stop. . . .

PS: These views are purely personal... I respect the Old communist Ideology... but I sincerely think that todays communist leaders are not living up to that ideology... I sincerely apologise if I hurt anyone's feelings...

Wow, today was vishu.... I had a good time... spend almost all the time in home today with my mother and bro... Mom made us a wonderful "sadya" with all the curries.... and her special " semiya payasam" .. had a good time.... my friend Femshad joined us for lunch....
Though I could not go to temple in the morning, I did go in the evening....

then my friend Abi had come down from Bangalore.... Had a chat with him... we discussed about how our peers were going the wrong way ... just wasting their time and youth.... I don't want to tell this, but my village morally sucks... u see lazy people all around just loitering... If you have an aim in life and if you are a hard worker, this is not the place to be...

We were telling about the importance of friends in our lives.... Our friendship can make or break us.... If you are with good friends, who are ambitious and driven by passion, you tend to get that habit from them.... But if your friend circle is bad, mind u, you're screwed...

this is one thing i keep tellin myself from the past, say 2-3 yrs....

Why, cos I'm the laziest person whom anyone will ever meet.... Just take the case of this blog, its been almost 2 months since i blogged....

OK jokes apart, I'm a really lazy guy, lazy in a sense that I don't have a definite goal or anything like that... I just love to enjoy day by day as it comes.... I kno this is not the way to treat life... I know I've to be serious at some point in life, the earlier the better or else I'm screwed for life....

I really don't know what happened to me, I just don't have that fire in me anymore... I still remember myself as a active, never-say-die attitude guy in my college... But, I guess I've lost it, but I also know that I've to bring it back to life if I have to survive....

A typical day in my life is like this : I wake up late, Go to HMT 15 mins late.... Work there with a sleepy mind, FUCK me. Come back, see some movies, chat, talk on the phone for like hours, blah blah, eat something, sleep.... Thats it.

Guess I'm totally screwed up, eh?

I don't know.....

I know this : if i'm like this, I'm gonna be screwed up...

Gulmohar....

I saw Gulmohar, Malayalam movie.... Its a very good movie I'd say....
Its the story about a few young revolutionaries, with communism in their blood and a gutsy heart, ready to fight against injustice.
It actually takes us back to those days when Kerala was a communist states.... Mind you, If I would have been living in that era, I would have been a communist too, that was the influence and clamour communism had in those days....
but now, communists have lost their way. Its just a bunch of people who do not know what they do or say.
My father was a communist, I see lot of Lenin books which belonged to my him. On the other hand, my mom is congress... Its hereditary...
If you ask me what I'm, I cannot give you a definite answer.
I'm definitely not a comrade... I just don't like the way the party works, or how the leaders show themselves to the people. I started disliking the party when they tried to pull down UPA over nuke deal. What a shame..... And I started liking congress after Manmohan miraculously pulled the party up....!!!!
I am not a VHP or RSS guy. But I like them, ... But of course, I hate them for their anti-muslim campaign, how they brought down Babri masjid and Gujrat riots....
I loved BJP when Vajpayee was PM... He was jus awesome....

Farewell Mininova.... :(

Today is a very sad day for me.... Mininova, the biggest torrent site is no more.... They have reduced their torrent distribution for copyrighted content only following a court order..... This means that we cannot get anymore free s/w or movies or anything for that matter....

Its the story of a fading hollywood star, Joe.

Its set in the 70's... The movie is pretty good, but this movie introduced me to " Bryan Ferry" , the UK musician.... and know what his one song " IF there is something" is awesome, we can sense his passion for music and love in this song. I downloaded his discography, and know what, he's the best of the best. His songs are awesome...

First month in HMT....!

Well, its been more than a month since I joined HMT as a graduate apprentice.... And mind you, the whole factory is awesome....! A mechanical engineer's paradise..... There are soooo many machines, a variety of them....and they are so large.... Mind you, I never thought that I could ever see machines like which are here.... There is a printing machine which was made in England back in 1879....!!! I enjoy every moment in here... True, there is no AC, its not so clean place., my hands will be filled with grease Oil nd metal.... but I still feel that intimacy, or rather a satisfactory feeling that only a Mechanical sector can give me....

Ok, I made quite a few friends and a lot of foes in here....

I've to tell, this is the first taste of what real life is... So you meet all kinda people, some are good, some are sweethearts, some are neutral and some guys simply SUCK.... As someone well said, " Life is a lesson and you'll learn it when you're through"

This is the first sign that life's not gonna be easy in here, but I'm gonna make 100% out of this one year ....

movie time....!

hmmmm, I've developed a new habit, downloadin and watchin new movies.... I've decided to watch a movie a day.... I'l update u wid some movies worth watchin....

Lets see, I just saw Angels & Demons... I had read the original book, and mind you, it was rocking....! And now when I saw the movie, I think its pretty close to the book... Like when you see the movie, you feel like you've seen it before..,( If you had read the book, of course !) The VFX are damn good, the reconstruction of Vatican City, St. Peters basilica, Vatican archives, man , u can't guess they'r just sets.....

Verdict : Must watch.... 4/5

Ice age 3- Dawn of the Dinosaurs

Wow....! this is the one awesome movie....!

Best of the three... There is this new charecter called " BUck", who is very cool and intelligent and all... The comic content is at the fullest on this movie....

Verdict: very must watch- 5/5
